TD-31 is similar to Selectol Soft and allows for use of two-bath printing techniques: fully develop soft detail in the hightlights using this developer, then follow with a short bath in your usual second developer to punch in the blacks. Or try the substitute for D-19 which produces ultra high contrast results on continuous tone film.
